Sattal is 23 km South - east of Nainital & is App. 295 Km from Delhi via Kathgodam - Bhimtal.

The camp is situated in the foothills of Kumaon region. To reach the camp one has to cross the lake by boats and then walk for about 600 mts to reach the campsite. It is a big stretch of flat land (7 acres approximately) surrounded by lush green forest on all sides. Wild life sightings are common. The accommodation is in tents on a twin-sharing basis. The camp has western /Indian style toilets/bathrooms. Showers are also provided. The camp has a well-equipped kitchen with trained cooking staff dishing out Indian, Kumaoni and Continental dishes. The camp doesn’t have electricity. The camp provides lanterns but you are also advised to bring your torches..

By Road
New Delhi-Sattal is 296 Km via HapurBypass-Moradabad Bypass-Rampur Doraha-Kashipur Tiraha-TandaDariyal-Rampur Chauraha- Bazpur -Kaladhungi-Haldwani-Kathgodam Bypass-Ranibagh HMT Factory -Bhimtal. This is a new shorter & better route for the day journey.

For night journey avoid Kaladhungi Forest Road,take a diversion from Rampur Chauraha to Rudrapur which shall connect to Sattal (101 Km) via Pantnagar University-Lal Kua-Kathgodam Bypass or vice versa for the back journey.

By Old Route New Delhi-Sattal is 296 Km via HapurBypass-Moradabad Bypass-Rampur-Bilaspur-Rudrapur-Haldwani-Kathgodam Bypass-Ranibagh HMT Factory-Bhimtal.

By Air
